Kaakha.kaakha.(2003) Dvd RIp Direct Download Mediafire

Seldom are Tamil film fans treated to a fast paced, slick movie like Kaakha Kaakha.

Directed by Gautham of Minnale fame, Kaakha Kaakha is that rare amalgam of love, action, tragedy, scintillating music and superb photography. Fine performances by the lead characters, a tight script and crisp dialogs add to the charm of this movie.

The movie centers around a dedicated police officer and "encounter" specialist Anbuselvan (Suriya) and his lady love, a math teacher Maya (Jothika).

Anbuselvan arouses the wrath of hardcore criminal Pandiya (Jeevan) when he guns down the hoodlum's brother Sethu. An enraged Pandiya swears revenge on the cops responsible. He warns Anbu that he would kidnap his girlfriend Maya and make him suffer.

Keeping his promise of wreaking destruction on the policemen, Pandiya's brutal attack comes soon after Anbu's wedding. Pandiya and his henchmen shoot Anbu and throw him into a lake. Believing Anbu to be dead, the gangsters cart away Maya to their lair and plan to sell her to a brothel.

But the badly injured Anbu manages to elude death and goes after Pandiya in an effort to rescue Maya.

The final fight scene between Anbu and Pandiya on a narrow bridge leading into rough seas has been beautifully shot in silhouette.

Every song in Kaakha Kaakha is a treat to the ears.

Our favorites were Uyirin uyire, Ondra irenda aasaigal and Ennai Konjum matri. Shot on a private beach in the Andamans, Uyirin uyire has been picturized beautifully and is just awesome. It's been a while since we derived so much pleasure watching and listening to a Tamil film song.

Suriya, Jothika and Jeevan are very effective in their respective roles. No crude overacting here.

This movie touches upon that unique Indian invention to get rid of alleged criminals without due process of law - the so-called encounters in which the police gun down alleged bad elements in cold blood and make it appear as if they were killed in self-defense. -

Naan Kadavul (2009) Dvd Rip Direct Download Mediafire

Naan Kadavul comes across as a mediocre documentary about the sorry plight of beggars in Malaykoil village in Southern Tamil Nadu interspersed with the weird antics of a pot-smoking Aghori Sadhu Rudra (Arya) from Kasi.

Since Naan Kadavul director Bala also takes credit for the story and screenplay, he’s the arch-villain of the piece.

The movie starts off with a father (accompanied by his young daughter) coming to the holy city of Kasi in search of a son he abandoned 14 years earlier in the holy city because several astrologers had warned him about the young boy being a bad omen.

Soon, the son Rudran - now a young, weird-looking Aghori Sadhu in black dress with long hair, a heavy beard and mustache - is located on the banks of the Ganges.

And father, son and daughter are on the train back to good ol’ Tamil Nadu.

No sir, they do not live happily ever after.

The young man continues his strange practices of prayer and Ganja smoking at home and not even all the plaintive wails of his mother will melt his stony heart.

Rudran is both of this world and not of this world.

Before long, he’s left his new home and ensconced himself in a nearby temple where he’s seen smoking pot and chanting Aham Brahmasmi much to the fear of other priests and the distress of his family, who want him to return home.

Even before Rudran has reached home, we’re introduced to the cruel Thandavan, the owner of a motley bunch of maimed and grotesque beggars. Through merciless whippings, Thandavan (with the help of his henchman Murugan and and the local police) puts these decrepit creatures, the flotsam and jetsam of Indian society, to beg outside the temple and on occasion even sells them to other beasts like himself.

A lot of screen time is devoted to depicting the sorry plight of beggars and Thandavan’s ruthlessness shown in various ways including in the kidnapping of a blind girl (Pooja) with a melodious singing voice.

Minnale Dvd RIp Direct Download Mediafire

Minnale hews to the staid Indian movie tradition of offering a love story with a few twists and hoping the audience will not get that deja vu feeling.

Within the framework of the love story, there is usually little scope for doing something novel since unimaginative Indian directors have beaten love to death over the last seven decades. But within this circumscribed framework director Goutham seems to make a valiant attempt with a slightly offbeat, if implausible, story.

Minnale also packs a fine performance by youngster Madhavan.

Rajesh (Madhavan), a young engineer and indifferent to women in his college days, is smitten with Reena (Reema) the first time he sees her amidst heavy rain and flashes of lightening.

To his great dismay, he soon learns that the object of his affection is to soon get married to Rajeev, an Indian engineer working in Seattle. But he also discovers that Reena has yet to meet Rajeev and only talked to him over the phone.

Seeing no alternative, prodded by his grandfather Suppini (played by that delightful old comedian Nagesh) and with little time left, Rajesh decides to impersonate as Rajeev to gain Reema's affections. Over a period of five days, Rajesh so inveigles himself into Reena's heart that she even asks him when he would marry her.

But Rajesh's game is up when the real Rajeev returns to India. It turns out that Rajeev is none other than Rajesh's old college bete noire Sam. Reena is also incensed with Rajesh's duplicitous behavior and wants to have nothing to do with him. Preparations for Reema's marriage to Rajeev Samuel move at a quick pace.

Reema is all right but her performance doesn't rise above the ordinary.

Besides Madhavan's solid performance, what salvages Minnale from the mediocre dustheap is fine music from Harris Jeyaraj. Memories of the songs, particularly linger long after the movie ends. Our favorites were Azhagiya Theeye, Venmathiye Venmathiye Nillu and Verenna Vendum.

Ninaithale Inikkum (2009) Dvd RIp Direct Download Mediafire

Siva (Prithvi) looks back at his college days as he returns from Mumbai to attend his college reunion (almost after eight years). The flashback unfolds. Siva, who has an immediate concern for the welfare of others, leads a happy life in the campus along with friends including Shakthi (Shakthi).

Siva’s rising popularity in the college irks Vasu (Karthik Kumar). He sets out to seek revenge on him. Enters Meera (Priyamani), daughter of a local MLA, who studies in the same college. She falls in love with Siva after the latter saves her from a police charge.

Vasu plays a trick and succeeds in making Meera contest against Siva in the college union elections. Friction develops in their affair. But greater things unfold as election begins. Shakthi is found dead in the hostel.

A heart-broken Siva informs none and leaves to Mumbai. A series of events unfold during the college reunion that forms the climax and it ends on a touchy note.

If Prithviraj and Priyamaani lends solidity to their roles, Shakthi walks away with all honours with his breezy and cool performance. Priyamani has no major role to play, yet she kind of leaves an impression in that role.

K Bhagiyaraj as Shakthi’s father impresses while the rest of the cast including Ilavarasu, ‘Goodluck’ Lakshmanan and Manobala are adequate. ‘Ninaithale Inikkum’ is a movie for the youngsters. Though it is far from the magic of the original.

He takes care of everything and ensures Abhi leads a happy life devoid of any worries. As days go by, the girl grows up. Now Abhi (Trisha) decides to pursue higher studies in Delhi. Fear of leaving his daughter for a couple of years, forces the doting father to oppose her plans. Eventually, she persuades him to accept her plans. She emerges out of her father's shadows and slowly starts to think on her own.

Abhi returns from New Delhi only to give her father a great shock. She informs her affair with Joginder Singh alias Jogi (Ganesh Venkataram), an independent journalist and a renowned economist. There begins a series of unfortunate events. The daughter again persuades her father to accept for her wedding.

Adding more confusion is when Jogi along with his family members arrive for the wedding. The dad starts to distance himself from his daughter, while she starts a fresh life with Jogi. Radha Mohan's climax carries a riveting message for every man, who sees relationships in life as a burden and feels life is so miserable to lead in this world.

Hats off to Prakashraj for he has lived as a dad all through the movie. His face speaks thousand words – be it joy on seeing his new –born, the zeal to be prepared for his daughter's admission in pre-kg, the joy at her passing out in flying colors or the confusions over her wedding. As a loving father and a caring husband, Prakashraj is right there delivering one of his best. Aishwarya's contribution is commendable. She reflects mothers who are seen in every middle-class families. She showers all her love over her daughter. Her spontaneous emotions and dialogue delivery renders grace to the character.
