Blogger Queen Susie Bubble
I browse many fashion related blogs daily and happened to come upon one titled...'Style Bubble'. The writer of the blog, Susie Lau goes by the name Susie Bubble which was given to her by her primary school classmate because of her personality trait of seeming like she's in a world of her own most of the time. Susie is in her late twenties & a British born Chinese woman who doesn't dabble in

Keeping Cool & Staying Stylish
Just because were in the midst of the dog days of Summer, that doesn't mean that we have to lose our fashion sense. Keeping cool & staying stylish at the same time is easily attainable as well as affordable. There are a few simple 'must have' staples to include into your Summer wardrobe which should include... A sundress as well as a maxi dress, a pair of flat sandals, loose fitting Bermuda

Military Inspired Fashion
Having just celebrated Independence Day, I began to ponder on the men and women who are serving our country, which in turn gave me an idea to do a little blurb about 'military inspired fashion'. This trend is nothing new as the 18th & 19th century's Georgian & Victorian era originally popular for functionality and utility clothing styles were the original inspiration behind the fad.

Fashion In Film Friday - "The Lost Boys"
Even before the movie 'Twilight', vampires have been romanticized in movies. The 1987 flick Lost Boys, starring Kiefer Sutherland as the head vamp & Jason Patric as the lead role, was definitely one to remember. Besides having a killer soundtrack, the style of the undead was off the hook, retro bohemian gypsy. They wore embellished military jackets, long trench coats, army boots, bangle jewelry

Goldie Hawn - MOD Monday
Not too many of our generation knows that actress Goldie Hawn was the MOD 'it girl' back in her heyday, or that she got her big break on the now vintage, no longer in syndication Rowan & Martin's sketch comedy show 'Laugh In'.Her painted bikini clad body made her a popular staple on the show every week and was considered too much for t.v. back in the late 60's, early 70's. She went on to often

Fashion In Film Friday
The 1985 film 'Desperately Seeking Susan', starring then newbie super star Madonna centered around an unfulfilled housewife who meets free spirited Susan (Madonna) by accident when she began answering her personal ads in a New York tabloid. She then becomes fascinated with her, gets amnesia & begins thinking that she actually is her. Weak story line & weird, I know! Although the plot left much

Stevie Nicks...Renaissance Gypsy
Who doesn't absolutely adore Stevie Nicks and her free spirited persona that makes you wish you could muster up the moxie to pull off this style? But of course, the question would arise.."Where in the heck would you wear something like this?" Regardless, she makes us fantasize about being a rock star!...Everyone knows her, originally as the front woman for the popular 70's band Fleetwood Mac,

Jazzin It Up!
In the 1920's there was a liberation movement of sorts as women became more free spirited. They smoked, danced, cut their hair short, wore make up and dared to take risks. These women were called 'flappers'...Flapper, by definition:flap·per/ˈflapər/Noun1. (in the 1920s) A fashionable young woman intent on enjoying herself and flouting conventional standards of behavior.Flappers were generally

Showin' A Little Leg!...
Shorts suits have been trending once again as we are seeing more and more women revamping their office style workday staple with blazer accompanied shorts suits. This offers a fresh and cool alternative to slacks in the Summer giving a feminine touch to an otherwise masculine power duo.Of course the definition of work attire varies given the nature of your profession which in turn gives rise to

Spotlight Saturday
Just got wind that soulful singer Amy Winehouse is back in rehab at the advice of her doctor, but the news said she was caught stopping off at a party store prior to re-admittance, to get herself a small bottle of Smirnoff! Her last run at rehab was in 2008 which makes me think of that old joke about how...'rehab is for quitters'! ah ha!The English born songwriter, who's voice does not match her
