British Medical journal Lancet's charge that Indian immigrants are bringing TB into the UK raises a firestorm of protests.
The journal has insulted India again. After, the superbug row Lancet claims one-fifth of immigrants from India to the UK carry a latent form of TB.
Health experts from Hyderabad have taken strong exception to the charge that Indians harbouring tuberculosis germ in its latent form are responsible for the spread of TB in the United Kingdom.
Indian doctors have questioned the timing of Lancet's report that Indians are 'exporting' tuberculosis to UK. Dr Randeep Ghaleria of AIIMS, New Delhi, said the facts may be correct, but the timing of the Lancet report can be questioned.
