２ｋ５４０　ＡＫＩ－ＯＫＡ　ＡＲＴＩＳＡＮ　「匠の技」ながめ　そぞろ歩く

多くの職人が技を競い合い、江戸の伝統文化を伝えていた街、東京・御徒町（おかちまち）。そんな下町の風情が漂う地区に、次世代を担う職人たちの店を集めた「２ｋ５４０　ＡＫＩ－ＯＫＡ　ＡＲＴＩＳＡＮ（ニーケーゴーヨンマル　アキオカ　アルチザン）」が昨年１２月、誕生した。新旧さまざまの匠の技を集結させ、次世代に残すのが狙いなんだとか。さっそく足を運んでみた。

２ｋ５４０は、ＪＲ山手線の秋葉原駅から御徒町駅の間、高架橋下の土地を利用して開発された。革製品の加工や染色といった伝統工芸品から、ジュエリーや傘まで、さまざまな分野の職人が手がけた商品を扱う３２の店舗がそろっている。

最初に目についたのは、木製の棚で統一された陶器の専門店「高取焼　鬼丸雪山窯元（おにまるせつざんかまもと）」。笑顔で迎えてくれたのは、開店と同時に福岡から上京したという店長の高崎大知郎さん（２３）だ。

高崎さんによれば、高取焼は福岡県に伝わる焼き物で、主におわんや急須といった茶陶が作られている。薪でおこした火で焼き上げるため手間がかかるが、それだけ薄く繊細な陶器が出来上がるのが特徴。材料の土から火をおこすためのわらまで、すべての素材に地元・福岡産が使われているという。「江戸時代から伝わる手法を守った結果、そのようになったと聞いています」と高崎さん。--- 続きを読む
