LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday has issued notices to provincial governments, federal government, Nepra and OGRA against the rise in power, gas and petroleum tariffs. Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab leader Dr. Waseem Akhtar filed a petition in the Lahore High Court stating that federal government has increased power tariff several times that forced public to face severe load shedding and it creates negative impact on country’s economy. Similarly, prices of gas and petroleum prices were also increased. The Court has issued notices to the government and concerned departments on January 21 to elaborate the matter. |
