When city lights go off, the lamps in the sky come on. Expect your city to go dark today, between 8.30 pm and 9.30 pm. People, restaurants, and organisations across Delhi are pulling out all the stops to make sure Earth Hour turns out to be a success.

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has exhorted Delhiites to join millions of people across the globe to observe the Earth Hour on Saturday night by switching off their electrical appliances for an hour.

"People are requested to switch off all their electric appliances between 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm tomorrow to so as to send a message about our concern for the environment," Dikshit said.
